    duralast 73-868 equivalent?

And just so you know, I really do like those older Duralast ratchets before Autozone switched suppliers and I have already bought my back ups!!!

    duralast 73-868 equivalent?

I’d just buy another one on eBay. If you really like the ratchet and it has worked well for you, there’s no reason to settle for a different design just because Duralast changed suppliers and discontinued it and you can still get a NOS at a decent price $12.99 + $8.06 shipping. You may have to...

Flex vs. non-flex - Which long ratcheting wrenches would you pick?

I have both the ICON and Carlyle Double Box End Wrench Set reversible ratcheting flex as well as the Capri Double Box End Wrench Set and a Carlyle long double box ratcheting 6pt set. I almost exclusively grab for Double Box End Wrench reversible ratcheting flex if I need something long and...

New pole barn floor chipping in concrete relief cuts

Those aren’t the worst cuts but definitely not the best cuts. Here are a few pictures from my slab, driveway and approach cuts completed this week. Poured on different days and then cut around the 24 hour mark. The temps were in the low 60’s and had a 2% accelerator added. Blade was relatively...

NEW ICON 3/8 drive Flex Head ratchets available again

It looks like the internals of the new flex are nearly identical to the fixed head ICON 3/8 drive ratchet. I took a quick count of teeth on the pawl and they both appeared to have 20 but I didn’t double or triple check it. The head width is actually larger than both the fix head and original...

MATCO tools - show us your MATCO tools!

Definitely showing Matco, but here is another Matco ratchet picture. I can count on one hand the number of Matco tools I own. Just don’t have a truck that has ever been in route and the price to value/service isn’t there for me.

    Best small adjustable wrench

When I think of small adjustable wrenches this 4” USA made Crescent tool is what pops in my mind. Those are 10mm sockets lined up on top to put size into perspective it’s smaller than 7 sockets lined up. They are $15 and available at Harry Epstein linked below...

For Koken items I usually get them at Palmac.net They are located in the same city and state as Koken USA if that helps. Link to the 1/4 metric shallow Koken Z sockets: https://palmac.net/koken-z-series-rs2400mz-12-1-4-sq-dr-socket-set-12-pcs-on-magnetic-rail/ 1/4” Metric Deep...

Icon and HF Professional ratchets, sealed??

The ICON ratchets are not fully sealed with a rubber o-ring. They do have a circle spring washer in them.
