He's asking $2k for the combo - about twice as much as I'd pay for the CSPS unit from Costco (and the Costco return policy is pretty sweet). I totally agree about the layout of the Costco box - it's not really ideal. But...the hutch on the Cornwell... I'm not totally sold on that yet either...
How do you like that box? Any idea what it's worth? A buddy is offering to sell me a perfect condition blue one (with the top hutch) and I'm not sure how much it's worth. I'm no pro - all of my tools would easily fit, just not sure if it's worth spending more for this over the big stainless...
Sounds like anyone in the Ohio area might be interested to avoid shipping. No affiliation with seller, just think these would be a sweet addition to an old school/retro garage/shop. If I had room, I'd be bidding...
That's brilliant! I have a nice old 2'x4' piece of melamine from a desk that might serve that exact purpose for occassional use. Very cool. :)
What kind of hinges did you use?
It's probably a bad idea, but I've done it many, many times since I never really even knew better when I started. Does that mean I should be doing it? Probably not. But considering the expense of a proper chop saw or band saw, I'll probably end up doing it again. Wish me luck. ;)
Well hopefully some of you other impulse garage buyers were able to pick this up yesterday, as the price has gone back up to $60/unit...I ordered two, but they don't get here for awhile due to the free shipping, doh!
I'm always looking out for killer deals, and found this one just now on slickdeals.net: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002IGHKM/?tag=atomicindus08-20
This is a great price from what I've seen (Target has 'em for $60, which is still pretty cheap), and reviews on this board are good, so it looks...
For the record, I was able to return the part for an exchange with nary a question or a ****** pinch. I must admit, I was a tad dissappointed. Maybe I should take back an old ratchet this weekend just for fun?
An exchange, good point! The receipt doesn't say anything about an exchange. Sweet. I *shouldn't* get any flack...of course...none of us *should.* We'll see, I post up in a bit when I get back from Sears.
Great, I have to return something at lunch. I opened it last night, and it was broken in the box...but the receipt says the same mumbo jumbo about the restocking fee, which there's no way in hell I'm going to pay. We'll see how it goes!
Not bad, nice to see "real" garages every once in awhile. Nice D-series, should make for a fun sleeper.
What's that stack of yellow pull-outs in the front there? Looks nifty.
Since I relied heavily on this thread (found via searching) when picking my reel, thought I'd update it and bring it back from the dead, hope nobody minds.
Just got back from Sears after picking up my first cord reel - a Craftsman Pro 30 footer (14/3) w/ illuminated triple tap end, and an...
Hope so! Haven't even unpacked it yet...waiting til I clear a lil' room in the garage first. I'm excited to say the least. My main project car has been waiting on a welder for awhile.
