    Hot Dawg HDS concentric venting

I spoke with Hart and Cooley, the company that makes the B vent that supplyhouse.com sells, and they told me what I can use, which is just a piece of single wall adapter from home depot.

    Hot Dawg HDS concentric venting

Does anybody know what kind of adapter is needed to go from the B vent to the Modine terminal cap? Also, Anybody know what is the best way or product to seal between the vinyl and the pipe? Thanks.

What R value insulation makes the most sense for me? 2x6 construction.

The ceiling is 5/8 firecode x. I decided to do the same on the walls. The sheets are a touch cheaper than 1/2 inch mold resistant and I am going with the idea that they will be more durable. So, I will remove the one sheet of 1/2 inch mold resistant and proceed with 5/8 x code for the whole...

What R value insulation makes the most sense for me? 2x6 construction.

I am now unsure of the sheetrock. I put up one sheet of 1/2 so far, so I can stop and change. But, I see quite a mix of people using 1/2 and others 5/8. This is a detached garage. The 1/2 that I bought was the mold resistant green board. It looks like 5/8 firecode x is essentially the same...

What R value insulation makes the most sense for me? 2x6 construction.

Thanks guys. I can't see how it would be cheaper for someone to do this rather than myself. But, I am certainly willing to pick up the phone and make a call or two. At the moment, I have to do the corner that I hung the heater in. So, I will get the r21 at home depot for that. Thanks.

What R value insulation makes the most sense for me? 2x6 construction.

I have 2x6 construction. A modine propane hot dawg is on the ceiling. The ceiling is r30 batts with 5/8 sheetrock. I believe the walls will be 1/2 inch sheetrock. But, what R value should I chose? I am looking at getting the insulation from home depot. This is a detached garage that is...

Is there an amount of space required between the modine concentric vent pipe and the overhanging soffit and gutter?

Well..... I was wrong on that. From the siding to the end of the gutter is 17 inches. Soffit is about 5 inches closer than that. So, I guess I now need any wordage about soffit specifically. The b-vent has a 1 inch clearance requirement, according to the manufacturer.

Is there an amount of space required between the modine concentric vent pipe and the overhanging soffit and gutter?

The b-vent has to terminate a minimum of 15 total inches from where it exits the building. See the pic below. I am not sure how many inches the soffit overhangs. I will find out. But, it is definitely less than 15 inches. So, the vent exit will certainly be beyond the soffit. I will...

Is there an amount of space required between the modine concentric vent pipe and the overhanging soffit and gutter?

Thank you to all. I have Hart and Cooley B vent and they say it needs to be one inch away from combustibles.

Is there an amount of space required between the modine concentric vent pipe and the overhanging soffit and gutter?

The manual calls for B vent when using the concentric vent kit. I am using the Modine concentric box on the inside. B vent is definitely required for this. The outside will have a 6 inch single wall pipe and within that pipe, the B vent will run as well...

Is there an amount of space required between the modine concentric vent pipe and the overhanging soffit and gutter?

I am not worried about extending the pipe out beyond the soffit. I was wondering if there was a distance it had to be from the soffit. I am using a concentric vent setup. So, the 4 inch b vent will be inside a 6 inch pipe. I will have about 3 1/2 inches from top of the pipe to the soffit.

Is there an amount of space required between the modine concentric vent pipe and the overhanging soffit and gutter?

I will look at the document closer when I get back home, but I do not think it even mentions soffits. But, I am not talking about how far out beyond the soffit, I am talking how far below the soffit can the B vent run.

Is there an amount of space required between the modine concentric vent pipe and the overhanging soffit and gutter?

I have the heater hung to the sheetrock and a 1/4 inch per foot down pitch for the interior pipes. This puts the concentric box at a height where the exterior pipe will come out a few inches below the overhanging soffit. Is there a required distance from the top of the exterior pipe to the...

    Hot Dawg HDS concentric venting

Hey guys, I can use some help on deciding which elbows to use to attach the pipes. They make a galvanized and an aluminum. I will link them. I have 4 inch b vent going through the box and then and adapter that allows regular 4 inch pipe to attach to the 4 inch b vent on the inside wall. But...
