Can Anyone Identify the Vise in this video?

I say Reed as well. Profile is correct and the handle with the larger ball on the end is distinctively Reed.

VISE REPAIR 101 all vise repairs, lubricants, sources for parts and the tricks to fix

Just did a repair and restore video on a Wilton 1740 vise if anyone is interested. I repaired some cast material by Tig brazing and made some copper jaws for it. Turned out pretty nice. Not a trailer queen so if your looking for shelf decoration then you'll be disappointed. This will be a...

How common are swivel jaw vises in your area?

I live in South Western Indiana and Swivel jaw vises are pretty rare. The three I have found, the owners did not even know that the rear jaws swiveled. I have found a Parker 372, Morgan 345, and Prentiss 12. Here's a link to my resto on the Prentiss. You can also view the restore on the Parker...

VISE REPAIR 101 all vise repairs, lubricants, sources for parts and the tricks to fix

You can but wire wheeling would be less invasive and probably do everything you need. I also use a straight Muriatic Acid soak for a few hours if my part is super rusty and crusty. It will come out without any rust....just clean metal. The fact that this part is machined is irrelevant now that...

I just bought one this week for $125 and it came with the high frequency arc stabilizer. I paid for the machine without it and when I came back to pick it up the guy said this goes with it, referring to the HF. Awesome! I am restoring this for resale but it should make selling it much easier...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Check out this restoration of my Columbian 503. It came out amazing! I did this resto for my 3 daughters. I don't have a picture but this link is a YouTube video of me restoring it. I did a very unusual color (bright yellow) but I surprised myself in how much I actually liked it!
