Hi Bryan - I'm a civil engineer. The thickness will have nothing to do with the psi of concrete. I would insist on at least 3,000 psi concrete. Check the ticket that the driver of the ready mix truck has, it will say. I would do 4000 - Its should be the same cost. Highways and bridges are made...
