Above 1200 Sq/FT The Engine House - My 30x50 Garage and Man Cave Build

Very sorry for your loss! The garage is amazing. Berwick is a special place. I grew up visiting Berwick where my grandparents and cousins lived. They built one of the first houses on Buttonwood Dr. Wish they still lived up there, I would buy a vaca place up there in a second if they did.

Preference on wire for trailer lights?

Pacer Group is where I get all my wiring, "I re-wire boats on the side." Definately go with tinned wire where ever you get it from. https://www.pacergroup.net/?gclid=CjwKCAjw19z6BRAYEiwAmo64LZpbQ2fdIOqyz-m6b5W33Dj4DttR0kAl4gbnpMb7aMhkt0PHrpRGxhoCfiAQAvD_BwE

    Towing into a garage.

I realize this is a moot point as the OP seems to have solved the problem, but why would he need room to pull the tow vehicle out, this bolts to the front of the of the TJ and the hitch goes on the newer wrangler, back it in the garage like a trailer. :headscrat

    Towing into a garage.

Get a cheap RV tow bar, bolt to front TJ and use 2010's hitch (if it has one). https://www.northerntool.com/images/product/2000x2000/225/22565_2000x2000.jpg

    Generator/welder

Thanks everyone, I got lucky today, found a used Eu7000, and got it cheap enough that I can probably get a decent mig welder too!!

    Generator/welder

I agree, what I’m looking for is probably rare, if it exists at all and I’m sure that if it does the price tag would too high! I did look into a standby genset but the cost was out of budget right now, which we couldn’t justify as this house is most likely not our forever home. I figure if I...

    Generator/welder

Hi Long time lurker here!! Anyway I’m installing a transfer switch for the house and planned on getting a Honda EU7000 because it’s an inverter which will keep my furnace happy. Cost is the obvious downside at around $4k. Ive also wanted to get a welder and thought maybe an engine driven welder...

An active couple; a new house and a hasty decision to move…

If the table is going to live outside, you should look into coating the top with a table top epoxy. Find one that is UV protective, and it will be protected but will also give it that deep shiny gloss. Most bar tops are done this way. Looks like a great project by the way!!

3 ton LP Harbor Freight jack

I bought the 3 ton LP specifically to help in taking my 23' boat off its trailer, which I had to do in the dirt. I didn't want to ruin my expensive aluminum jack. The boat weights just under 5k, the jack handled the weight with no problem.

    1st post & vise ?

Thanks, I thought it was a nice find. Good advice about the threads! I'd have to go outside to take measurements, and its way to cold right now for that, but I'd say the jaw is about 5" wide and the whole vice is probably 16-18" long.
