good morning. I'm in Denver Colorado and i have a 10 year old house with a great covered patio. The covered patio (shown in orange) was backfilled with clay soil so it was heaving in the center. The covered patio concrete has now been removed so it can be repoured. the lower patio (shown in...
Any advice would be appreciated. I have a 5 year old 30' x 50' pole building with a metal roof and a 4:12 roof pitch. My main ridge runs along the 50' length. after we get snow the snow tends to sheet off the roof and pile against the building. I have a good gutter and downspout system to direct...
that is exactly how I did the pour in my 30x50. 2 pours since it was just me and a helper. we tied 5.5" slabs together with rebar on 18" centers.
barn is looking good! keep up the updates
i did my 30x50 the same way. i had double bubble on the building exterior before siding. i added 1" XPS foam, sprayed the cracks with expanding foam. then unfaced batt, then steel siding. the building is remarkably tight and quiet. i would do this method again.
I also installed foam XPS between the girts. my shop when built had solar guard installed on the framing before the steel. I had about 60% of the XPS on hand from various craigslist posts i responded to. My intent with the foam was 2 fold, 1st to seal up as many drafts as possible and 2nd to...
just curious how you do it? my pole barn is already wired and outlets are already installed on the bookshelf girts. i am installing steel panels on the inside and was curious how you trim around the outlets? i will do my best to make the outlets fall on the flat section of paneling and not the...
For me i live in an area that sees hail quite frequently in the summer. there are very good odds that the steel will be hail beat and need replacement a couple times in my lifetime. if spray foamed, i cant imagine getting the steel off without ruining the spray foam.
i also installed 1.5"...
well i suppose propane would be an option.
the building would be heated only 3-5 days a month max 8 hours at a time. I only have about 1k budget at this point for heat install. i figured the return on investment of a more complex unit would take far longer than my lifespan.
