MesaDE, Make sure you take the opportunity to look at all the lifts and REMEMBER...you will have will most likely have a nice car on the lift and you will work under it. In my mind, money should not be your chieft concern. Another point - you will most likely only buy one lift in your lifetime...

Shocksystem, I sent you a email, call me if you want and I will give you a LOT of detail. There are a lot of opinions on these boards with prices quality etc...in the end I paid a little more but I figure I am only going to have one lift and it better last a lifetime. Kramer

I don't think any of the modern lifts require anything to by bolted to the ground. PS...after a long search, I recently just installed my own lift in my garage two weeks ago. If you want more details, let me know. Kramer

For what is worth, I just had this done from a garage dealer..cost $325...my door now travels up to 2 inches from the ceiling (i am putting in a lift next week)...check around the prices really are all over the place...(note: I did not put in a garage door opener) Kramer

fyi...i had these guys to my floors and they turned out well...3 car garage and I think it was about $600. Do the cabinets yourselfs as they will charge you out the a$$ and you can do better with lowes or HD.

I am in the same boat mike is with my lift. I wish for all our sakes, there was one governing body for a cross compare and reference on all lifts (like a consumer reports thing) BUT no such luck....my only advice to you is if you are going to working under the lift and storing a second car...

it amazes me that there is not one bible on lifts...some consumer reports like reivew. With as many individual hobbist like myself looking to spend$2k -$5K to store items that could cost as much as $100K, its shocking. FYI...After a lot of review, I chose Backyard buddy.

Rick in CO, If for some reason you are near Denver, ping me. I was dead set on the rotary line, specifically the revolution...but after a lot of research and reviewing the models, I chose to go with Backyard buddy. The BYB is more expensive, but a lift is forever and I didn't want to ever think...

Beny, NOTE...those are NOT their cabinets. They wanted a rediculous amount of money..my cabinets are from lowes. They are a little higher end than the standard white but WAY cheaper than anything from Premier. Kramer.

Beny, I am new to this site (actually first post today), but I the folks at PremierGarage did do my floor. (I will put in a pick below). My floor has been in for about three years with two winters and has held up very well. The only chips or scraps are ones I have caused..with Jack stands...
