    Menards and HF

Have 2 of those sets bought them for the allen head bits. Use them exclusively in a cordless drill and havent had any problems. I do set the clutch appropriately for the application. I just dont see the point in paying 10x more for something that lasts only 2 or 3 times as long. Also if I drop a...

Looking at a Craftsman box, is the price right?

I would love to be in an areawith cheap mac and snap on boxes. Our craigslist is full of smashed up rusty snap on boxes with misc junk filling the drawers usually bolts and nuts and old plug wires for $2500 +. I think used go in at 450 and everyone gets a fair deal.

Looking at a Craftsman box, is the price right?

I have that setup in black but ball bearing grip latch. Bought it new minus the seperate full width drawer. Paid less than 700 out the door with uncle sams cut. Its not a snap on but its far superior to the harbor freights every holds so high. The drawers are smooth as silk and do not twist. It...

NOS Craftsman USA 5 1/2 Vise has a home now

Hell of a vice for a hell of a price. I have a Wilton bullet at work it's smooth but not really that much better than any other vice and I wouldn't have it if the company didn't pony up the cash for it. I wouldn't be ashamed to display that craftsman on my bench. Definetly a treasure from a...

Dumb question and please don't get upset but I use a nut driver daily in my line of work and I have an old cm set from the mid nineties. I have a pieced together metric set of imports. I cannot tell the difference when it comes to driving a nut. I too would love to support American made but I...

3/8 Corded Drills: All Comes Down to Plastic Gear Cases and Metal Gear Cases

Getting a bit side tracked here. I have the dewalt and use it as a supplement to my cordless collection and love it. It does have a bit of wobble in the chuck at slow speed but has never affected anything for me.

Grumpy old ******* I worked with said this to everyone he didn't trust "People that work here are called employees. Employees provide there own tools." I teach in a technical college and am willing to lend anything to a student as long as it's not on their required tool list, and when they have...

made in china craftsman any good?

Re: made in china craftsman anygood? Btw I can't tell the difference when I am actually working with them (sockets) compared to other brands or coo. I use mine professionally and have not broken a single china made one yet even with occasional misuse.
