An new Kawi engine would be smoking a lot if it was truly 'burning' that much oil in one hour. You have nothing to worry about. I use the Kawasaki SAE 30 factory oil in my Ariens and have zero consumption issues after 3 years. I do a complete service on the mower (plugs, oil & filter, air...
Don't get me wrong, the garage is great as is. I'm just blown away every time I see how much room is in his L-shape when you make it all garage. Same thing when you see how much stuff you can put in one of those corner kitchen cabinets with a lazy susan in it.
Do those garages at 90 degrees come together or are they seperate? My brother is finishing up his 6-bay oversized attached and the two banks of doors intersect inside and make sooooo much room. He could easily fit 14 cars if he put a few on casters.
edit: I guess in looking at the plans...
Second that. Your motivation/inclination/ability/ to move all the stuff back out of the garage will drop so much that the probability of getting it done falls the longer you wait.
OP is in Ohio, not sure of construction costs there but here in southern NC, that building would run you at least $60K dried in, $75K if you want electrical and plumbing.
I don't know of anywhere in the country that you can build a 24' x 32' stick-framed garage on a slab for that money. You might need a post-COVID reality check.
You've got plenty of time to work out the little details. The broad strokes are all in place and it sounds like your shop is going to work out great for you. Congrats on getting it done and actually using it for its maiden voyage. Always feels good to use something for the first time.
Looks great! A professional coating looks amazing when it works but there are enough failures that I respect erring on the side of 'reliable' like you did here. Is there a lime green car going in one of those other garage bays?
