I have the Thermal Arc 211i and have nothing but good things to say about the machine.
Had I not had a budget I would have purchased a Miller Dynasty and a separate machine for mig welding as I really want the ability to tig aluminum.
Another thing to look at is the AHP Alpha Tig machine...

I've pulled off some precise cuts with my horizontal Harbor Freight saw but I run it slowly and keep the weight of the saw off the blade and let the blade do the cutting. Set the feed rate and coolant and walk away to work on another task while the saw does it's job.

Has anyone seen a double acting ram used to change the bed height?
What I mean is you could connect the press ram to the bed via an adapter to vary the bed height instead of having a cable and pulley system or other mechanical system.
