Missed out on a Athol 614 this week. Was texting with a buddy about their new (to them) Ovation guitar and the auction ended without me :cry: . Somebody got a good deal at less than $50 Good thing I already have 5-6 vises or I might be mad ;)

The end caps & guards are worth $25-30 alone, if not more.

Love it! That's a big papa bear compared to the #50 I found back in Nov. Mine isn't rusty but IS covered with inappropriate olive green paint :sick:

They looked like eddie-bolt pins or lockbolts of some sort, which would be fitting for an aerospace worker.

Sometimes you get used to the long drives. We live in Ft Worth and our kids go to Texas Tech in Lubbock, a 650mi round trip. For the right vise, it might be worth the travel equivalent of Parents Weekend. :LOL:

Picked up this Craftsman Model 5176 (together with little Stanley G12 plane) a few days ago. After fees & taxes, they came to $41.51. The plane was made in England and fetches $12-20 on eBay, so if I can find a buyer then the total for the vise would be around $30. Needs some cleanup, but the...

I picked up an old Dake Model 1-1/2 Ratchet Lever Arbor press (including a stand) at a good low price a couple days ago. It's 3ton capacity and weighs around 150lb. 😲 However, it's seized up pretty solid, the handle is broken off, and is missing pawl, pawl pin & rest pin. Guess I'll try some PB...
