Platform for working in engine bay

To date Ive improvised. For the K20 a platform that slips into the plow sockets. For the 57 plate steel skid plate has a slight gap to accept this guy. The issue then becomes one of supporting your torso with one hand or a moving blanket to lay over the radiator. I have no more room for another...

    Aluminum 3D printing

Would sand casting be feasible for all or part of the item? Very inexpensive & quick.

    Antique Car/Truck Jacks

After restoring this 1920’s Firetruck jack I presented it to Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell RIP as he didn't have one for his 20’s Chevy Firetruck. I’m sure he never got to use it.

Fortuntate to only be spending $4000!

Got a 40’ aspen, one of a clump that died last fall as well as some 8” dead elm limbs over the waterfall I’ll be taking down this spring. Still remember roping controls from my teens helping my dad. They were called tree surgeons back then. Only the largest firms had bucket trucks.

    Advice…

Not sure of your location. Thats potentially a wind catcher so add a generous amount if hurricane straps. Cheap insurance.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Sanded the poly & stain off the 57 bed. Buddy neglected to use oil based urethane and the sun killed its good looks In short order. Will do an olive color wash on the grain followed by 3 coats of BLO then after a week 3 coats of Spar oil urethane. Same as the racks. Glad I had my garage sale...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Wrapped up a decorative set of side racks. Was going w/ Mesquite till the order came to $600.00 sight unseen. Reverted to my favorite rustic furniture wood, Beetle kill pine. Enhanced the grey fungus streaks with a 40 to 1 acrylic wash then three coats of Boiled Linseed Oil Then 3 topcoats of...

The inexpensive work around for too short beds. Not so much for hauling aggregate😆

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Working on the 57 Chevy 3100. Fuel gauge was tied to the wrong sending unit. Got one with the correct range of resistance before I pulled the aftermarket tank. Then I see the major flaw🙄. The one I ordered doesn't incorporate a suction tube. A little head scratching & figured out how to switch...

Pick my plans apart - What did you wish you did when you built?

Never big enough. I do welding, grinding, painting etc work on the garage slab outside. Weather is 99% cooperative, but the sun is a killer. Doing a huge shade cloth overhead this year.

🤩 14 teeth. If you step up to 15 or down to 13 the sprocket will last much longer.
