I was doing the paper towel think for a while and was looking for something a little more efficient... I'm going to check on the disc. I need to take it apart for measurements, etc. Thanks again gents!

Skimming oil out of parts washer water? Any ideas?

Awesome suggestions. I'm going to order some of those oil-only mats because I can see how they would be useful in a couple other cases as well... Now for those socks. What do you do, just leave them in the water? (not sure how they work) Great suggestions!

Skimming oil out of parts washer water? Any ideas?

Ok here's the deal. Got an old industrial parts washer from a friend. One of the stand-up, front-loading industrial units. It was cheap, and it works great, but the oil skimmer disc is warped and no longer serviced. I don't use a TON of greasy parts, but I would still like to try and keep the...

I need a new air compressor for running a Blasting Cabinet. Advice?

Any suggestions on specifc models? Harbor Freight as the 60 gal 2-stage compressor that delivers 15 + CFM at 90psi. Looks like reviews are pretty good. Is it a good unit? Or should I go bigger? Thanks!

I need a new air compressor for running a Blasting Cabinet. Advice?

So my old Craftsman garage air compressor is just not cutting it. It's a 2 stage 110v unit with a small tank (i'm going to say 25 gal) I have a TP Tools 850 Cabinet (says it needs 10-15 cfm @ 80 psi) I can't even use the cabinet for a few seconds without the compressor going on, and I get...

Single Post vs. Scissor Lift - Advice and thoughts?

I need some advice. I'm really in need of a lift, but due to space limitations and the premium I have on parking, there is no room for a 2- or 4- post lift in my shop so those are out of the question. That means my choices are somewhat limited. I would like the convenience of having a...

New to board with a new garage. Probably old questions! :)

Hello! Just found this site tonight. Man I love the internet. Here goes. Garage is getting finished as we speak. 28x42 Pole Barn. Building is done, slab is getting poured next week. Garage will be for parking, with 1 bay set aside for "projects". I don't expect the floor will be subjected to...
