I bought 2 of these, one was for my mother but she decided to stick with her old hose reel since she did not want me drill mounting holes into the concrete / brick, go figure.

You are wise to be careful to get the dimensions of the recess right, also make sure to get the placement of the hole correct.
I have a Greg Smith Atlas Scissor Lift, I recessed it into my floor, here is a thread from my trying to get a group buy going:

I heard nothing negative about Greg Smith lifts or their service, to the contrary if I talked to someone who had an issue they said GSE took great care of them. Been happy with mine for about a year now.
A year or more back I tried to put together a group buy on a Greg Smith Scissor lift, in the process I received many opinions on theirs and others' lifts. It seems as if most lifts are indeed made in China and the electrical / hydraulic pump units are made in the USA.

I also own a 911, bought the Greg Smith Atlas TDR6000, recessed it into the garage floor.

I also live in Ohio and purchased a scissor lift from Greg Smith Equipment earlier this year. I drove to their Indianapolis location and picked it up, by law, you DO have to pay sales tax if picking unit up in person.
They were great to deal with IMO.
