You can for sure grind this by hand, but its going to be very time consuming and dusty. Make sure you get a shop vac with a hepa filter of some sort. You could also get a dust deputy from Harbor freight. I think they are around $40.00. Dust separator. Hopefully you do not have that much sq ft...

Advice on my epoxy/polyaspartic garage floor

Brown stains are most likely a Top coat (Polyaspartic) drip on the driveway. The fiber board should not be coated, we try and avoid coating the fiber board as its a place for failure. $5.50 is pretty cheap for a floor. Sounds like they were just careless on the install. Thats what happens...

We handle these in Basements in Colorado. We grind the floor first to remove the efflorescence then apply a sealer. Power washing doesnt always work.

Do yourself a favor and have someone do it for you. Alot you can mess up, and its labor intensive. You rent a grinder from home depot with out the right tooling, and your about 4 hours into grinding alone.

    Crack filling: which sand?

Use Metzger / McGuire joint filler. RS88 they have color options, or Hi-Tech Polyurea on the joints. On the cracks I would use crack fill, use some concrete dust if you are grinding it first, then mix it into the crack filler and fill / Grind off. Metzger/ McGuire, Joint Filler, RS88

You can get some ideas here: Epoxy Flake Colors . If you go with just a plain epoxy color with a Poly top, you might want to throw some shark grip in it. These floors can get pretty slick.

    Seal Krete epoxy flooring

Sorry to say but you will be having issues with this process in about a year. Etching is not a good way for the epoxy. We install these floors daily. Diamond Grind or Shot Blasting is the only way. If you are trying to save some money I get it, but see if you can rent a concrete grinder from...

    Bad garage floor pour… suggestions?

Hire someone to use Bush Hammers on a grinder, then diamond grind with 30 diamonds. Then you can either Epoxy flake, Poly top coat it, or you could put some self leveling products on it. TruPc is good stuff!
