As mentioned by others, it is a Snap On o2 sensor wrench.

Show me (And discuss) your toolbox organizers...

I have mainly wright/matco rails for my sockets. I used Akro-mils or Quantum storage bins for extensions and other loose items, used some from both companies just to compare. There's some magnetic Ernst rails holding to long torx and hex sockets to the front of the drawer along with a magnetic...

    Harry J. Epstein Day 2025

Got my order #19610 in on Tuesday. As always it was packaged really nicely, especially given the wide variety of stuff in the box, broom included. They did however send two 32mm sockets and a 7/64" drill bit by accident instead of a 17/64" and 30mm socket. They are sending the correct items...

How do you store long sockets in your tool box?

This is how I organized mine, used Ernst mag rails and mounted them to the drawer face stacked on each other. Had to pin the rails together to keep the top from tilting over.

    Harry J. Epstein Day 2024

Forgot to post my order when my backordered strap wrench showed up last week. I was disappointed to see it's now made in China, Klein's website shows a MiUSA version, but it seems to be discontinued. The rest of my order here. My first time participating in HJE day. I look forward to...

    Best CV boot tool design?

I have the Hazet version myself. It's actually a Audi/VW/Porsche special tool, but I believe that Hazet also sells it themselves. You can find it as either VAG1682A or Hazet 1847.

    Torque tools for over 300ft/lb

I went through this dilemma when I was working at Porsche as center lock wheels torque to 600Nm(450ft/lb) and I got tired of using the shop beater we had. I went on ebay and found a secondhand, but unused Stahlwille 730/65. These are split beam and use insert tools. The one in question uses a...

Some recent purchases. Another example of a "custom" Snap On ratchet since they only sell these as bit drivers with the hard handle. I actually bought two as I wanted both versions. I typically only buy chrome handled ratchets as I despise grips of any sort on ratchets, but given that using...

Learning more about anti seize products

Not to add fuel to this fire, but some vehicle manufacturers do explicitly tell you to put anti-seize on the wheel hub to wheel centerbore interface. Here is an example. Castrol Optimoly TA is just silver anti-seize. Cleaning and lubricating the wheel hub is necessary and not doing so can...

    VAG 1332 Equivalent

That's just a Stahlwille Manoskop 730/20. If you use it opposite the direction of the arrow on the handle it's a breaker bar. You can get a ratchet head insert for them also. I have a 730/65 and used many variations of them while working as a Porsche tech. You can often score them for cheap on...

Meant to quote this a while back, but just getting around to it now. I've been using a set of these sockets for about six months now and don't see the sleeves ever being an issue. I was worried at first, but after some use got over it. The fit and finish of the sockets is super impressive too...

    Show your new tool arrivals

Happy to help, I'm a Porsche tech, but have spent a lot of time around Audi's. I actually had just serviced a Q7 about a week ago and noticed the calipers mounted to the brackets and had to laugh as Porsches don't need the bracket on their design. Porsche uses the same platform for the Cayenne...

odd request: tan/brown ball bearing grease identifiable? (Pics inside)

Castrol's Olista longtime grease is brown in color and frequently found on euro cars. It is probably very similar to what you're looking at there.

You don't need that socket for Q7 front brakes as you are not supposed to remove the caliper from the bracket. It's the whole reason they use a bolt that you won't own a socket for. These are the only bolts you need to touch to service the front brakes. Nothing weird or out of the ordinary...

    Tools of Japan

Thanks for the response. I saw that on their website, but was looking more for direct experience with their warranty. Like if the socket gives out/splits a side when loosening a wheel with an impact after a year of use if I should expect to buy a new one. I wouldn't consider that to be misused...
