    Chlorine, fluoride and who know what else is in tap water, do think that paint manufacturers use tap water.? What I do know after using distilled water to thin paint I have obtained better results on crown and base moldings....

    When thinning and spraying with my Graco HVLP I always spend the extra dollar and thin acrylic/latex paints with distilled water. The resulting finish is much better and as we all know you never know what's in tap water and how it may affect the paint and/or finish.....

    Now that is why a starter is the best option, unfortunate you had to find out the hard way. My starter is going on 20 years old along with the compressor.....

    The switch in the link below would not last long with my compressor as it is merely a contactor switch, these are pretty much the norm for most compressors even up to so called 5hp motors nowadays...

    Does the this alleged 5hp motor have a start capacitor, is it 100% duty cycle, what is the FLA, FSA, SA etc. A true 5hp motor the pressure switch at the tank will start the compressor but for how long is limited.

    You could use a 1x4 x and slightly longer in length than the grab bar screw/attach it to the furring behind the drywall. Use some inexpensive white caulk (works as good, less mess than "liquid nails" I've been using it for years)) for adhesive then attach the grab bar to the 1x4. Alder, or oak...
