    how to mark /cut

    If you go with the cutting disc(Speedy Cut) please hold the grinder so the sparks will be coming at you. A speedy cut disc is notorious for hanging or catching and will jump out of the groove. If the sparks are going away from you the grinder will be coming your way when it jumps. Those speedy...

    How bright is your shop?

    jd dale- I have rope lighting in my 12 x 30 shop. They are one strand around the perimeter and down the middle ceiling. It's good for finding my way around but not quite enough to work by for me. But it does look pretty cool.

    I think Jesse may have matured some from his younger days. The lame deadlines are getting old. It would be nice to see a show that covers old time craftsmanship.

    Welding Titanium

    You need a trailing rig for Ti. It keeps the purge on the weld a few seconds longer to allow for cooling of the weld. Use a #12 gas lens with the trailing purge. Keep a tight weave and you should be good.

    It's not "grinding", it's more of "weld beautification" ! I've also heard it called "sculpting" a cap on a weld.

    Never tried mig on cast iron, but if you preheat and let it cool down slow .....maybe.
