Thanks!
Yeah the attached garage is a turn in two car on that end of the house. I will eventually be closing that in and turning it into a man cave/game room.
Well we finally got a little bit of a break from the rain so they have made some good progress in the last few days. I am so excited for this to be done so I can start moving stuff in!
Found this on the city's website. Looks like the tap fees are a lot more reasonable here. $380 for a short 4" tap.

Haha, don't think the idea of just keeping it as garage/shop space hasn't crossed my mind. I am building the new detached as big as I can though with the space I have so hopefully that will be enough space and honestly I am looking forward to a game room. Will be nice to have a seperate space...

What do you mean by racking? The building department already approved the plans, their only concern was with the headers so I got LAM beams speced out from my truss supplier and they where fine with it.
The sketch I used to get the permit is attached although this version is showing an 8 ft...

Hi all. I have been reading on this forum for a while but never posted.
I am about ready to start construction on a new detached garage and I wanted some opinions on the design. Anything I am missing or should consider before getting started? Basic details are:
28ft wide x 34ft deep
10 ft...
