Do you ever use stubby wrenches over say 14mm ?

That's not a bad idea. Maybe reinforce the hole in some way.

    "Pre-Block" Grinders--Where's the Love?

OMG! I recently bought a 1/4 HP pre-block from 1961, but those pics of yours leave me speechless. What a find!

    Ratchet Extensions That Don't Twist

I've broken a Craftsman =V= 3/8" extension. It shattered into pieces.

Pliers lust and where to buy them from?

I have to agree with the positive comments about JB -- they've always been straight up by me. On one order there was a slight problem, but one email and they fixed it right away. Good folks.

    Dunlap tools & boxes

Don't know about the wrenches, but I have a pair of Dunlap bent-nose pliers that are identical to a pair made by Boker.

Do you use your vintage tools?

Yep, I use my vintage tools all the time. Why? Because I have them and they work well.

    Favorite Spark Plug Gap Tool?

Thanks -- it's good to see that someone makes a wire gauge for the modern sizes.

Tools that rarely get used anymore

I probably have three of these that I never use. Nor do I use my timing light any more. But I do still use handsaws (which work great if you keep them sharp). I also use vise grips, adjustable wrenches, and a steering wheel lock-plate tool frequently.

    Favorite Spark Plug Gap Tool?

I used to use the wire gauges like the third one from the right in the OP's pic, but these days the sizes don't go up high enough (.060). I normally use the round gauges now.

    Hammer time!

Thanks -- I didn't know that stuff existed. I want to try it on a few of my old hammers.

    Hammer time!

Nice work! What kind of blue paint did you use on the body hammer?

    Storing duplicates.

I keep my duplicates in hand boxes that I've picked up mainly at garage sales. Right now I have separate boxes for pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets/ratchets (1/4" and 3/8"), sockets/ratchets (1/2"), and miscellaneous. They take up more space than I'd like, but they're all stowed away...
