Lifting Gambrel Trusses with limited equipment space

They make jib poles that fit on skid loaders, if you need that much lift. If you can get the trusses back there by hand, you can put a duct jack on the concrete and lift them one at a time. Your local rental place should have duct jacks for rent.

Diesel fuel or kerosene danger (parts cleaner)

I also use diesel in my tank. We've always got diesel around and a little brake clean will take off the oily residue after the parts tank.

Looking for a recommendation on a tool set to keep in the truck

I have several of the craftsman 150 piece socket/wrench tool kits, I like the kits that have the wrenches with them. Just a socket set doesn't do much good if you have a bolt and nut. They don't take up a lot of room, and one of those, and pair of vise grips and a hammer will fix a lot of...

    Is this building OBVIOUSLY bad?

One way pitch roofs are a bad deal load wise (in how they carry weight), and I would say the trusses are woefully inadequate for the load. And the wall columns are not heavy enough for the transfer and the corner stresses. We build a lot of one way pitch buildings right now, they are "in"...

    School me on O-rings

The sets you bought are more for hydraulic or fuel o-ring replacements, not water faucets. But put them on the shelf and someday they may save you a trip to the store for some unforseen, unknown problem. You'll be a hero.

    Screwdriver Decision Fatigue

I will vote for the williams hard handles also. They are the old snap on shape and they fit my hands the best. I have snap on soft handles also and hate them, the hard handles clean up with a little brake clean. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002NH5F30/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    Am I crazy to buy a new 5" Wilton C2 for $1300?

If you haven't had a vise for the last 5 years, then $1,300 is a bargain. If the extra $ cost over finding a used one doesn't matter financially, then I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. It will last you until you don't need a vise anymore, and then someone else will get to buy a good used vise.

Problem with drop in anchors and thin floor

You're looking for a solution, and the guys telling you to get epoxy are giving you the solution. You just don't want to hear it. Get the epoxy.

Suggest me a hydraulic pump for shop press/bender

If I was building a occasional use shop press, and I had air available- I would buy a foot actuated air over hydraulic pump. They are quite common and generally will make around 10,000 psi. They aren't fast, but I don't think this is a production shop is it? It should easily run a 6" ram...

    shop press cylinder replacement

You still have the hydraulic pump, so all you need is the cylinder. Lets have a diameter (rod and barrel) and length of the cylinder, and I'm sure we can come up with something for less than $600. How about a picture of the press also. Be nice to know the distance between the rails at the...

    Snap-on tool box value?

I looked at one similar to that about 3-4 years ago. I was in the $3,000 purchase price category, and he was selling in the "make me a offer" range. Well his "make me a offer" wasn't really. He had a theory that snap on is lifetime warranty, and a new one was $20,000, so his used one was...
