    Tig welder for a total newbie.

    Just learn how to weld regardless of what machine you buy, before tackling overhead welding on thin metal on a stress point of your car.. That is no place for a cold weld or a bunch of chicken poop. Remember mig is easier to make a "pretty" weld that is not sound.

    I got a MacGyver idea for a home built AC unit

    I have thought about this same idea for a little while now. i was going to run a closed system that has a storage container for the water(large cooler). then have a pump (pond pump) to cycle the water from the container through the rad back to the container. This way i would not be wasting water...

    Have you looked at Taig yet? They are made in Arizona I believe. I have both the mill and the lathe and they work very well. I got them to make parts for one off Nitro powered RC cars when i raced them. I was very satisfied with them. www.taigtools.com Crank

    It looks like the hf ones with the crease are for a snowmobile to use. They go under the skis the crease is for the carbide. Just a thought.
