    Large storage boxes

Brad, thanks for the response. I have seen these boxes, unfortunately I need much larger boxes. They will not be moved often, or stacked, so the durability & ability to move around is not great. -Tom

    Large storage boxes

Where have any of you found large (3-4' length, 2-3' width, 2-3' height) boxes for storage ? I do not want cardboard. Do I need to make crates out of wood ? Prefer plastic, but Container Store et al do not have anything this large. These will be used to hold items approx 30-40 lbs.

Anybody else have a tiny garage? What tricks do you use to maximize space?!?

I owned a home built in the 20's with a detached garage, and I built an attic for it by replacing the 2x4s with 2x8s, added a plywood floor above it, and left a 4x4 opening. The garage door was an overhead type, so the floor above it was a little bit higher, and used 2x6s instead of 2x8s. Next...

    Vintage garage kits

I have found some old Sears catalogs on eBay, and will probably purchase one. Also found out that my library has these on microfilm so I will look there also. That is a good idea about looking at Popular Mechanics issues; they may have put one of these kits together, and that would be great...

    Vintage garage kits

Does anyone have info on the various steel garage 'kits' that used be sold by several companies, including Sears, starting in the late 40s ? Am looking at building a shop just as they were 'back in the day' of early hot rodding. Thanks for any leads.

    Newbie from Round Rock

Hi, I have been on the HAMB for a few years; that's how I found this site. Have a 3-car attached garage and am looking for ideas on storage and workbench layouts, as only 1 car will fit right now ! I'll soon have a 1932 Ford tudor and it MUST be parked in the garage ! Definitely my wife won't...

    Radiant Barrier Foil

Thanks for the info; I am going to check my soffit vents also. What about ridge vents ?

    Radiant Barrier Foil

I have been studying this online and have found that the spray paint is not very effective. The foil stapled to the rafters sounds like the way to go. Plus I need to add a ridge vent - any suggestions ? I am going to do this to my house very soon; yesterday it was 100 degrees !
