Old school copper plumbing - what is this stuff?

My house was built in 52 so it's all copper except for the iron waste pipe. Some of the runs to the bathroom sinks are just under 1/2" c. What I learned that there was a flexible L copper back then which came in roll was the latest greatest (:sneaky:). This is different than the roll...

Car lift - is it worth it when you're old

If I were in your shoes(i'm not there yet but at 56 and several injuries to my body due to my career) With all that shop space, along with the lift and oil drain on wheels. I would include a TV,fridge and recliner Sometimes I need a break when working and having a comfy spot to sit and ponder my...

    Rotary SP09 Concrete Anchors

I have a feeling the 150 initial is the seat the wedge and they inspection torque of 65 is just used as an indicator of the wedge/pin coming loose. More than likely any of the anchors staying above 65lbs is fine for normal lift use and the initial specs are just required by the anchor mfr.

    Lifting a shed

I have a similar problem also caused by the town management. I get up to 41 inches in a flash flood and thankfully it never reaches the house and it's gone almost as quick as it shows up. long story short I always struggled to move my equipment trailers when there was a threat of possible...

    Time for Vehicle Lift

I personally would keep an eye out for a used mohawk, I have a 9k rotary at home that lifts my crew cab diesel ram but its a little wiggly with it on there. I have a 10k mohawk at work thats a completely different animal than the rotary. and the versatility with nothing to drive over or...

Mohawk 2 Post lift prep- Concrete pour requires #6 rebar?

a couple years ago we replaced a rotary with a 10,000lb mohawk. our current slab was over 6" and mohawk wanted a minimum of 9". We ended up cutting a 3X14' section and pouring a 12" thick section as well as adding wire and pinning. also went with 5000psi

Suggest a pistol grip blow gun that will last more than a year.

I've been using the vacula for years both the long and short tube. so far never a failure and my shop is running 175psi which I think is high but it's a love hate with it. I have had a trigger Oring blow on a hf blow gun.

1947 Delta Milwaukee DP220 Drill Press

I still have the original motor off my grandfathers delta. I have it mounted to a bench with an arbor on the shaft to hold a wire wheel. I broke the spindle on the drill press notching roll bar tubing and wasn't able to locate the parts to repair it unfortunately.

    Rotary SP09 Concrete Anchors

I only used one drill bit and still use the same bit for other purposes, as well as the bit was several years old before the lift install, Keep the hole as powder free as possible whenever drilling concrete. I always run a vacume right against the bit while drilling(normally use one of my hvac...

    Rotary SP09 Concrete Anchors

I have been using for equipment and diesel trucks without an issue, I had one of the trucks in the air for 2 months while doing a transmission conversion. One thing I did notice was the lift grows a surprising amount with temperature. I had screw jacks under the truck for stability and barely...
