hex crimpers for battery lugs / terminals - recommendations?

Not want the OP wants but this company has some nice equipment. For power lugs I use this dieless indent crimper 8AWG to 0000AWG (4/0) and cutter from TEMco. Pretty much bombproof tools. I've never had a lug come loose...

Amazon Deals on New Retail Items - Post them!

Ordered a set, thanks for the heads up. I've been putting the tap into the drill press or hand drill to cut threads for years. These sockets will definitely give more control when starting threads freehand.

New house came with LED “can” lights in garage

For my 30x60 shop, I used 68 6-inch, 5000k, 1050 lumen puck lights with a 110° angle, and even with those, I still need supplemental lighting for detailed work like reading numbers on dies, bits, soldering electronics, or small print on containers. If you're planning on using puck lights, make...

    Light Fixture Layout Collections

I opened your file because my garage is also somewhat like a showroom. Personally 16' fixtures don't look very "showroom". Unless your going for an industrial look. CREE is a brand so without a specific model its impossible for anyone to comment. If you decide to post again, post images and be...

    Milwaukee Power Tools Deal Permathread

Better yes, "that much better depends". For me, I think so. I bought them on deals twice this year. My none HO run time seems better to me, and the deal was to good to pass up. If I had HO tools or was invested in the M12 platform it would be that much better.

How The World’s Finest Pencils Are Made

Do you need to use a sharpener for you lead holders? Does the lead keep a decent edge just from use on rougher material? I don't want to have another thing to misplace while I'm working 😂.

How The World’s Finest Pencils Are Made

The pentel P209 with .9mm lead. The orange/yellow mechanical pencil. Has a tiny eraser ("because we dont make mistakes") with a metal cap. I remember my grand-pap using them while going over blueprints when I was a kid. I have one (.07mm) that's over 30 years old and it still works perfectly...

    Battery Maintainer

How do you like them? I had a battery tender junior die that was only 2 years old. Thinking another brand might be a better choice.

I'm look at a 30" commerical griddle for use at home.

If you decide on a propane griddle. I would suggest a Crown Verity. It's a buy once cry once lifetime piece you'll pass on once your gone. I absolutely love mine, 304 stainless, lifetime warranty on the body, 10 warranty on the burners. Available 36" to 60".

You'll be fine, leave the cord alone. As far as the off topic discussions. What you do is your business. I'd use it unplug it when not in use and enjoy it. It's not like your installing a built it.

How to buy a water heater anode rod

You turn off the water supply, attach a hose to the hose bib on the bottom of the tank. Put the hose in a drain and use an standard screwdriver and open the drain. Once open vent the tank by opening the hot water side of a faucet. The water in the tank needs to be below the anode rod otherwise...
