bessy & paigej, you guys are correct :thumbup: they're for cycling torque wrenches at their highest setting prior to using them.

Here's the workbench I use at work, :rocker:

you could do 2 hydraulic lift cylinders connected to a small hand or foot operated hydraulic pump. the pump I had in mind was something like off of a B-4 maintenance stand used by aircraft maintainers in the USAF. or 2 bottle jacks that are pumped up by air instead of by hand

fabricated a plate for testing self-locking nuts for aircraft wheel assemblies

worked on building my 9ft long redneck workbench.
