Thinking of renting a towable boom lift for tree trimming...

I cannot stress enough to get/rent a harness. I've seen 3 people bounce out of lifts over the years and 2 of those did have harnesses and were mostly ok. The other was not. It is always the unexpected, something hitting the lift/basket or uneven ground that can exaggerate the movements in...

Best small tool tote for small projects?

Husky used to offer this two pack for $15 but I haven't seen them at HD in some time now. I bought 6 or 8, after using them I found the ability to clip/stack two together was great when I wanted a few tools in one and connectors/bolts/nuts/wiring stuff in the other.

Anybody made their own Hanson style socket organizers

Speaking of, printing both the board and socket attachments in the garage this morning. Buying the board is probably the better option but I wanted to test the layout first. I do think it is going to be the new socket solution for my setup.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

    Modest 25x35 Fabrication Shop Build

well it is a Case. lol kidding. Reminds me of my first project as a Super. We had taken delivery of a new Cat 420 backhoe and it broke within hours on the jobsite. No Cat rentals available but they had the Case equivalent so I told them to "bring it". The owner calls from the home...

    Finally getting started - 54x40

I had planned to start building in 2019 but a few projects came up and decided to wait a bit. Now, I don't see it happening as I just can't justify spending that kind of money at a property that I will likely sell in 5-8 yrs. And it typically doesnt increase the home value enough to justify...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Replaced a SMG transmission in our E46 race car. Only pulled it because the mounting tabs broke (common problem on 3 series) and had a spare.
