    Helping Younger Not-So-Tool-Inclined Neighbors

Not much to say on topic. Just can't get my head around this statement. "I live in an approx 2500m2 house with my family" (2500m2 = 26,909.776 042 sq.ft). Wow, now that's a bigga housa. Maybe I converted it wrong. But then, I'm no engineer.

    22mm+ wrenches

Usually when you get to those sizes, and for occasional use, sockets are generally the required tool with a big *** ratchet or breaker bar, 1/2" to 3/4" drive. Six point. Enables proper torquing when required, and it usually is when dealing with fasteners that large. YMMV Bob

Brake Cleaner & Welding /Heating warning

Trichloroethane was banned as a parts cleaner in my airforce as it formed phosgene gas when exposed to flame. The fellas would go out for a smoke break after working with this stuff. It would be in their clothes and evaporating all around them. We'd light up a smoke and not think anything of...

Rust Inhibitor for Inside Toolbox? What Do You Use?

Just keep your tools clean and dry. Always have a rag close by to wipe them with after use. Toss them into the toolbox, and keep the tool box and drawers closed. Desiccant bags are good too. Some of my tools are over 60 years old (my late father was an aeroplane mechanic as well)...
