Looking For: Craftsman Bandsaw Pedestal Base

There is one in Colorado, but a bit rough (it is also for the later 24260, but not sure if it changed at all). It is on FBMP, will post link if I run back across it.

Craftsman "Free" Power Tool Battery & Charger?

Ace was fine, they had a specific barcode at the register (so it was limited to what that one store had on hand, that day). That particular Ace was running 50% off Red Tag, which brought some of the tools down to Lowes sale prices. They also had a general "red hot buys" for 20% off ( I think it...

Help me get this bandsaw running

Yes, how it was before would have put one phase to the metal of the machine. Which could have zapped you really good. As long as you didn't leave the motor humming for long periods of time, it didn't hurt anything. The handle on the outside should be raising/lowering the blade guard (the thing...

Help me get this bandsaw running

This. The red is ground at the plug, but going through one of the fuses. One of the phases is being grounded to the frame (black<->white under screw), so it is only getting 2/3 of the power. Not sure why you are saying Line/Load/IDK at the fuse box, all three are line (you can read Line in the...

    Sanborn Compressor Problem

Possibly look into some kind of air intake/muffler? While they are not the quietest out there, the one I had resembled most of the other 3450rpm 60gal big box compressors for noise (not counting the "extra-quiet direct drive models). The other option would be to try and get a compressor/pump...

Things worth knowing about each power tool brand and their ecosystems

I guess I don't see what is going to be different this time than the other hundreds of time this has come up. Milwaukee and Dewalt are the biggest players. Ridgid has their lifetime battery service. Makita and Bosch do some interesting stuff on the sidelines. Ryobi, Bauer, Hyper Tough are all...

Things worth knowing about each power tool brand and their ecosystems

This reads like someone took AI and then asked it to re-write itself a few times, adding in their points. Is there an actual question in that giant wall of text?

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

My first thought also with an A1 (or anything like it) is also if there are any air currents that could mess with things. Ceiling fan, open windows, etc. I have seen prints even with PLA have issues like what you pictured caused by sporadic moving air. Is it in a print tent or other "boxed" space?

    Sanborn Compressor Problem

Yes, that is my (now updated) guess. Check the lower left (screws should hold that cover on)

Craftsman "Free" Power Tool Battery & Charger?

At the one I went to before, it was one petosn ahead of me, and two reps were there. It took literally 15&30sec once they opened. My guess is the "line" was people waiting before it started, and by 5min in, there wasn't a line

Craftsman V20 3Ah Advanced Battery Starter Kit

So, I found the T&C at the bottom of the Craftsman Battery website (sometimes the answer really is RTFM). Coupon details attached. Looks like it is for Ace, has to be used same day, in store only, and minimum $50 purchase (so no free tool under $50).

    Craftsman V20 Stand-outs?

Thanks, decided to pass on it. I have a 1000+ air impact so if I need a ton of force, that one comes out. Was really trying to figure out where I may need more than the mid-torque, not by my garage, and failed to see much use (for me).

    Plug wired to compressor

Yes, was meaning 120/240. I have 6- plugs on all of my equipment in the garage, as nothing needs the neutral. Thanks for the catch on the plug, was just trying to see quick HP ratings. Figured it was at least a jumping off point for finding them for those who want to know what the cost.
