Finally back in the game, now have the time
looks like foundation is at $6700; the dig will be <2k prolly(friend has been doing for decades)
trusses come in at $3000 delivered for 26foot, 10pitch with storage/attic space
9 foot doors, 8 or 9 high; hope to iron the details this week
that's the problem, we don't have anyone here posting that pours concrete for a living
I will ask the foundation ppl; either way 9foot wide is the way to go, with 'splitting' the remainding 8 feet to make the front look proportioned
26x38 garage I'm building here in CT, free standing
I don't own any 3/4 ton trucks, do I need an 8' high door?
with 9' foot doors, 26-18 is 8ft, 2ft on each end with 4 in the middle?
This is where I'm stuck, the foundation opening will be 9' 4.5"(compared to other shops in the area)
I plan on submitting plans this week for a 28x34' garage
Town size limit is 1000sq/ft
TRUSSES???
1. looks like the attic truss will get some decent storage space up top, am I just being lazy to avoid rafters?? I've got a 5 man crew with much more experience than myself to complete the...
Free is always good, I do realize it's a good investment for plans
Some areas I'm looking for guidance
1. Basic layout that is proven
2. storage area for 2nd level depending on pitch?
3. I'm not a builder, just have a bunch of friends that were prior framers/builders to help with the project
I have the plot plans and have talked to the town, 1k sq ft is the max, I've gone over the easements, the footprint is all set
I need room for a 12ft high lift
