Long time lurker who has been inspired by many on this forum. I finally bit the bullet and bought my Racedeck floor. While preparing to put it down, I noticed I have a dip/recessed portion ahead of the door (i.e. the door sits lower than the rest of the floor). I am assuming in this case I would...
Looks great! What kind of gap did you use with the free flow? I have an all free flow floor on the way (ordered yesterday) and thinking about how it will actually end up. I am doing a border a couple tiles in but realize to get it centered I am going to likely be cutting both sides unfortunately/
The best/most versatile option would be a Z-Wave hub like SmartThings (now made by Aeotec) or Habitat hardwired (I assume you still have internet?) and a Z-wave sensor. I used a cheap sensor from Monoprice that is still on its first battery 3 years later.
I have been grappling with the same thing. I am planning free-flow, and think solid looks fine - but feel "boring". Do agree that full checker can be a little much. I think a good compromise is a simple border set a couple feet from each side (obsessed garage style).
Hello all,
I finally have moved into a home with a decent garage and stumbled across this forum/site while doing some research on a potential epoxy floor project. I must say this is a great community and I am pleased to have signed up.
