Help me choose some Knipex - Cobra & Plier Wrench

9 times out of 10, it's the 7" PWs for me at work. The jaw capacity is really good for it's size, so the 10" PWs rarely have to come out. Of course it's great to have them all. The 6" (8605150) are small and handy too. Rather than getting the 3 pc set, I purchased the 6", 7" and 10" separately.

    Primer material thickness strength?

For most shop-duty carts, I would recommend 0.080" wall thickness material. The 0.090" or 0.095" material that zkling suggested is nice as well. I've made numerous stands, carts, tables and frames over the years with 1x1, 1x2, and 2x4 mild steel tubing and find it to be my favorite combination...

    Reciprocating Air Saw recommendation

The SO PTS1000 is amazing. Mine has never bogged down and gotten stuck, even once, since I bought it well over a year ago, and I cut through a ton of 3/4"+ thick epoxy/fiberglass material. The only thing that slows it down is that the blade eventually dulls and has to be replaced. I get easily...

    Swivel Head Ratchets

I have all three Snap On swivel head ratchets and they are pretty much all I use. I'm not a mechanic, so it depends on what your situation is, but for me it is so handy to break a bolt/nut loose, then swivel the handle straight and spinning out the bolt/nut like a nutdriver. (I think Brownsfan...

    First Harbor Freight tool failure...

Hope you find your receipt and can get a good one. I guess I'm lucky. Mine has been fine for 5 years of occasional use. My buddy bought one and it was bad out of the box. I think his replacement has held up....

And another one is McFadden Dale in Santa Ana, also pretty close to Disneyland. Maybe fifteen minutes. It's a hardware store on serious steroids. Let us know which places you liked best after your trip!

Just thought of another one... Austin Hardwoods in Santa Ana. It is only 10 minutes away from Disneyland. Pretty much all woodworking tools. Lots of woodworking tools. Skip it if you're not into that stuff. I was wandering around for over two hours, my first time there. Someone mentioned...

I just learned that trick from a buddy six months ago. Awesome! But a little dangerous when the scrap goes flying.

    Measuring tape with internal measures

Apologies to the OP if this is one that "didn't make the cut" when he was making his decisions since it's not a "top read" but the Hultafors Talmeter is very unique and I LOVE mine. It makes extremely accurate "inside" measurements. Didn't know about it until about six months ago and it's all I...
