    Socket Organization

Yea, I think that what I'm going to have to do. I can make two complete sets of Craftsman, I think. But after that it's all gonna be a mix of Snapon, SK, Proto, etc. Which I don't mind, it just won't look as nice in my opinion. But I don't have enough of any of those to make full individual sets...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Spent some time cleaning up and organizing my great-grandfather's tools. So many different brands and so many to clean up, and wire wheel, so that will make work for tomorrow! Also hung up some new license plates, and realized I don't know as much about CRT's as I thought I did! I've fixed this...

    Socket Organization

I have one drawer with rails like that, which I like, but I have to figure out how to better arrange them. And get more rails for another drawer, because the ones I have aren't enough now that I've wrangled up all the escapees!🤣 I also think I'll steal the plate idea, that seems like it would...

    Socket Organization

These are all the sockets I currently own. Some are newer, some are very old. The clumps are all different brands, Craftsman, Proto, Crecent, etc. There are very few complete sets throughout. Whats the most effective way to organize them? I have a box with organizers, but should I mix the brands...

    Age of Hollands Vise?

I inherited this Hollands vise in my great-grandfathers garage, and was surprised to find that it was made in Erie, PA! That left me wondering, how old is it? Thanks!

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Cleaned up a tool box, and played "Musical weedwackers" which was supposed to result in one working one but instead resulted in three completely disassembled broken ones that I now have no use for... but oh well, not all projects work out!

Not at the moment but I could get a picture with the top down in a little while!

    Great-grandfathers toolbox.

I made a post on Reddit and someone mentioned that it looked similar to some old Cornwell boxes so I went scrounging around on Google and found a picture that matched that box save for the color with a big Cornwell logo on the front. Kind of a lucky find because I was running out of ideas!

    Great-grandfathers toolbox.

The only picture of one like it that I could find online had their 30s era logo on it so that's really all I based that on. And yes it belonged to my great-grandfather, he passed away fairly recently and I "took over" his old garage so I could park my car in there and use his tools to work on...

    Great-grandfathers toolbox.

I inherited my great grandfathers tool boxes a while back and all my life this one has stood out from all the others I've seen. Just the other day I discovered that it's a Cornwell. He obviously repainted it and some point, but that has me wondering, how old is it? 20s-30s-40s? And what's the...
