Did you try cleaning them yet? My house has three hardwired detectors which started acting up last year. I looked for replacements but could not identify a direct fit. So I took them down and cleaned them using light compressed air. Haven't made a peep since.
I just read the ad that sick puppy linked from trademe. The ad states "It is infact a W.I.G[wing in ground effect]" which is the same as ground effect vehicle. The wikipedia entry has some interesting information on the three classes of ground effect craft:
Type A cannot operate out of ground...
I think it works on the Ground Effect Theory. The video seems show it flying close to the surface and never up high like a ultra-light. Similar to the Russian Ekranoplane technology from the cold war. I remember seeing a show about them on Military or Discovery a few years ago...
Been away from GJ for some time but have finally made my way back! My weekend project was to rework a crappy ATT U-verse installation. I'm sure there are some good installers out there but the one I had left much to be desired. Next time, I'll make sure I'm at home to supervise.
I don't post here often, but since I was all over this topic a month ago when I was installing my lighting, I thought it was time to contribute.
