Picked up a Wilton 1765 and no base

It's certainly came with a swivel base at some point, you can see the raised portion on the underside from the 2nd photo. I can't find any dimensions online.

Picked up a Wilton 1765 and no base

Picked up a used Wilton 1765 Tradesman 6.5" without base hardware, looking online the original replacement parts alone seem to be more money than what I paid for the Wilton vise. Does anyone know if the parts from a comparable Yost vise are compatible with the Wilton brand vise? Yost parts seem...

Thank you sir, I was sweating I broke the board during deep cleaning of the entire machine. I have yet to balance any wheels on it. I also picked up an original Snapon motorcycle wheel adapter set.

    SnapOn WB260B wheel balancer

What I noticed that the rim width knob won't adjust with the Mode Select is in certain weight combinations, it would only show 4.00 regardless of where the dial is turned. However if you push to another Mode the rim width will adjust just fine, anyone else experience this?

Arcan 3.25 Ton Floor Jack Repair

Thanks for sharing, unfortunately they only have two material options for 1" diameter dowels Stainless and 4140 Steel. 4140 steel would be tricky to weld, Perhaps that's not an option for something that you'd expect to yield instead of having a brittle like failure.

Arcan 3.25 Ton Floor Jack Repair

I was thinking more of a permanent solution that wouldn't need major servicing other than occasional greasing. Oversizing the existing holes on the bracket to accept hardened steel split bushings and drilling grease galleys into the new dowel pins.

Arcan 3.25 Ton Floor Jack Repair

Forgot to include the diagram of the lifting arm with the brackets: It was never meant to be serviced but it wears down with every lift and descent under load.

Arcan 3.25 Ton Floor Jack Repair

I took apart my Arcan 3.25 Ton Floor Jack for servicing after 15 years of use, it felt a bit loose. Overall the Jack did withstand the test of time other then the lifting arm pivot brackets, see below: Look at the wear on that Pivot dowel pin that was welded permanently on there. There was...

Need help understanding Brass vs Rubber compression fittings used on Air Compressors

I really like this idea, would it be possible to braze a steel factory check valve with a Brass 90 flared 1/2" fitting?

Need help understanding Brass vs Rubber compression fittings used on Air Compressors

I'm still looking to get a check valve and I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction on the 90 degree elbows like this: This style would be excellent since its 90 degrees and wouldn't require me to bend the copper tubing on the last bend. But I need one in 1/2 Flare and...

Took a peek inside my 60 Gallon compressor, should I be worried?

Thank you for sharing, I'm still sourcing parts to get the brasd JIC fittings for the trans cooler. I'm currently fabricating a bracket to support the cooler close to the pump fan pulley. I was wondering if the manufacturers intended the oil from the pump to be depositing the internals of the...

Took a peek inside my 60 Gallon compressor, should I be worried?

I will for sure need to decrease the internals as it has sludge, but I'll need to find a way to season the surface once cleaned to lessen the surface rust.
