Love Boulder. Have road-tripped there from Los Angeles and back 4x. UC Boulder in the spring is maybe the most beautiful campus I've ever seen. Also have a cousin in Frisco with a fully restored 63 split window (original owner!). Though it is a bit too dry for my skin, and I do get altitude...
I've tried most of the ones mentioned in this thread, and those are among the best. I think the Venom Steel gloves sold at the Costco business center are also really good (the only gloves I've used that have different colors inside and out, white and black). Can't go wrong with either. Both...
Thanks D.F.B for all your work and sharing. I need to restore some black trim on a couple of my vehicles and I knew to come straight to this thread. I will be giving Trim+ Coating and Over the Top Plastic Sealer a try.
From a boutique shop that caters to people with discretionary income and which will likely have to contract out the pour and assume the risk for the entire job? Say it ain't so!
Maybe find a concrete place to do the pour and then figure out the install. I did a 4 post in a weekend 98% by...
That has been my experience. Bleeder screws have loose tolerances and I always get more air that brake fluid. A venturi vacuum bleeder has saved me from a lot of hand cramps from when I used the hand vacuum. I also use an auto filler to keep the reservoir full. Then just hook up the hose...
+1. My Dewalt cordless drill that I replaced the chuck on had a Torx head screw dead center at the bottom. I don't recall for sure, but it might have been LH threaded. I think I ended up having to cut off part of the old chuck to get some vicegrips on the head after the socket stripped out...
I have a catwalk squished into 1 side of my shop, and pallet racking on the other side. For the space you have, I think pallet racking would be better. 1st level can be just over 6' high, whatever you need to walk under it and store what's there now. Space the shelving tall enough to fit...
It would be terrible to "fix" something that's not a problem by potentially creating a different problem (e.g., by weakening the shear wall of the runway with a bunch of stress risers drilled near the top edge).
Agreed,I bought the 1/2" and the same 85078 3/8" and have been very happy with them. They're ready for the next torque by the time I move to the next bolt. 5 and 7 years ago though, back when the body colors were black and red.
Garage journal for the win! Google didn't make alcohol sound too promising, but based on this^ post I gave rubbing alcohol a try with some sap I found on the hood of my wife's car when washing it today. Soap/water wouldn't touch it, so I was happy to see the alcohol took it right off in about...
In socal now. Wife and I moved here for work over 25 years ago. I find few things more relaxing than just sitting by the window of my wife's parent's house in Waimea, sipping kona coffee and watching my daughter feed the cows. It's a great little town, if you don't mind the chill.
