I found a 6 pound dead-blow at Harry Epsteins for a very good price.
It was made by Garland Manufacturing of Maine.

I use one all the time for metal. Use the right sanding belts and disks and it works fine. The only problem I have had is if you let the metal bounce it can tear up the belt in a blink of the eye.
I changed the situation around. Put router on front wall (up high) of detached garage and it feeds the house fine. Garage is steel r-panel and doesn't loss much signal strength with the router next to it's insulation.
You can call these guys, they have tubs full of all sizes. Some of their wrenches are Bonney, SK, and various other US Made.
