Finally finished my front stairs!!!!!!!!
The shade sails area temporary solution till I can fund the roof and privacy screens.
Very happy with the results!
The house looks somewhat different to a few years ago!
Careful photo taking hides the defects - but as the bike is for the bush and there is every chance that it will be torn, so more than good enough.
The main reason for the re-trim is that I shortened the seat (and built a custom subframe) to drop some weight and qualify for discounted single...
Yes - there is a rule stating that a 125mm sphere can't pass between the steps - My step rise is 175mm with a 50mm thick tread. With the extra thickness of the checker plate I would have JUST got away with bit but didn't want some smart *** with his clipboard wanting it changed - only added...
YES - I noticed that after I stood back and cracked a beer :headscrat - Actually I need to extend the posts by one rise as it turns the corner - bit of a cut and shut, will be hardly noticed after a flapper disc and blending - will be fixed before it goes off to the Galvanises.
Had the local sheet metal place bend the treads and laser cut the end pieces - cost came in at about $50 AUD a tread - and about another $20 each for Galvanising.
Will be dissambling it all in the next few days and getting the rest Galvanised - it is about $2.25 a kg and with the heavy sections...

Three sides of the post in use, two grinders and a drill press.
My workshop is under my house (lots of houses in Queensland Australia are weatherboard houses built on stilts). Have removed a few of the posts with overhead steel work but still need a few to hold up the house - might as well use...
Had a look at your table build Dr Clyde - NOW THAT IS A FABRICATION TABLE!
I have a few BMW F650gs Dakar - slightly improved.
If you haven't worked out out by now I do like Pic's, sorry to anyone on a slow connection
G’day ½ Cup,
Overall I'm happy with the 336D (the oil issue was of my making).
I don’t think that it would stand up to working flat out in a fitting workshop but for my home machine shop, more than adequate.
Bad Points
•No swarf tray makes it a ****** to clean (I think on the new ones they...
Hi mrolds88,
The "Hockey Pucks" are the start (need to make lots more) of my stops and spacers for the fixture bench. Using the grid pattern in the table and the Pucks it makes it a lot easier to jig up.
Have a look at STRONGHAND TOOLS and you will get the idea.
