Got a friend for my Dewalt cordless SDS.

Impact Driver & Drill Combo uses

The 20v has a significantly higher torque rating and higher RPM than the 12v model. The 20v is especially useful if you're driving long lags or screws or installing/removing nuts and bolts that require more torque than the 12v has.

    SDS Rotary Hammer specs...

Yeah, that's a great price for a great tool. My cordless DeWalt works just fine though, I'm not really in the market for a different tool. A lot of my installs aren't near electric, so the cordless beats lugging around a generator. I was more curious about how the different specs come into...

    SDS Rotary Hammer specs...

The one that cracked in the center isn't typical, thankfully. Mostly, the cracks happen when near the edge. A hammer drill isn't an option - it would just take too long. As far as the bits, I use DeWalt Rcok Carbide bits. They're a German-made bit as are Bosch. Wouldn't be surprised if they were...

    SDS Rotary Hammer specs...

It does crack pretty easily if near an edge or a weak point (see photo brlow). A lot of time is spent repairing cracks like this with silicone and fortunately most of the repairs are usually covered by portions of the sign. And I have plenty of experience on stone, stone veneer, concrete, etc...

And this is the Little Giant Select Step step ladder. Adjusts from a 6' to a 10' step ladder, has a nice standing platform, the "Airdeck"/support handle. Great ladder - I love it. Not your typical tools, but if you spend a lot of time on one, it's easy to get excited about one with great...

Not as active on here as I'd like to be, but here are a couple of "tools" I've picked up over the past couple of months. I use ladders pretty extensively, so to me they're a tool...and for ladders, these are both pretty awesome. This one is the Little Giant Lunar. Lighter than standard...

    Ummmm.........is there any helping this?

That was my thought - I'd start with the square and make sure it's truly square. If it is, I'd look into returning/exchanging the saw.

    SDS Rotary Hammer specs...

I had to install the letters shown in the attached photo to the stone-faced monuments. Each letter has 3 or 4 studs, so I have to drill a 3/16" hole for each stud. There are 6 sets of these letters altogether, so when drilling that many holes, my mind always wanders to whether or not I'm using...

Almost 2yrs later - What cordless impact this time?

I would opt for the Milwaukee given their 5-year warranty. Seems like that would cover your issues.

    Locking Plier options?

I'm holding out for the Dewalt.... They're supposed to be released this month. toolguyd.com/dewalt-locking-pliers/

    Hilti or Milwaukee?

It kind of depends on how often you'll be drilling masonry, what size holes, etc. I have the Dewalt 20v hammer drill and also the 20v SDS rotary hammer. I'm drilling masonry pretty much every week . I almost never pick up the hammer drill because the SDS is so much faster. Bosch makes some...

    Heat Guns ?

I have the DeWalt gun with the LCD display (click). Love it because it's adjustable from 150° to 1100° in 50° increments.
