Making a refrigerated compressed air dryer-crazy thoughts?

I just did the oil cooler aftercooler on my setup. I remote mounted the cooler above my compressor room, and will have a box fan start when the compressor runs. I haven't got the wiring done yet on the fan, but I can hold the tube going into the tank with my bare hand when it is running. I...

Can you get one ultrasonic cleaner for everything or need different styles?

I just run water in mine, and put everything to be cleaned in separate containers. The tank never gets dirty, and I use far less solvent/cleaner. I also will run jars with different chemicals simultaneously.

Thoughts and advice on getting an air compressor

Sanders, cut off tool, blasting, powder coating, impact, blowing stuff off, plasma cutting, pneumatic nailers, tire changer etc. I use the **** out of my compressed air. My compressor is 20 years old this year. New pressure switch and check valve as of this year, but outside of that and regular...

What piece of equipment to buy first?

I have a small Allis forklift in my 30x60 and don't plan to get rid of it. I use it more than I thought I would for loads beyond the capacity of most skid loaders. Hard tires, so no off-roading, but I have put down 3/4" ply on the occasion that I have needed to lift something in the lawn. Is it...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

I still have and use the Pittsbugh I purchased 20 years ago as well. I grabbed the Daytona on a great sale for lower cars and the extra lifting capacity.

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

I have the Daytona long-reach, low profile, 3 ton jack. I would recommend. The pedal to get up to the load is great, and the lift height was slightly higher than all of the others.

Been waiting for someone to test the Astro pneumatic slide hammer and here it is.

Thinking about it more, it essentially moved the fulcrum back and spread the pressure out. Moving the fulcrum back gave it more travel, so nails would typically come out with one pull.

Repurposing Wood from large antique Dining Table (veneered)

Nobody wants anything, yet you can't throw it away? I would be leaving it where it sits instead of inheriting material I can't use. Then again, I inherited three generations of things I am not using, and I am 3 years deep on slowly getting rid of it all.

Been waiting for someone to test the Astro pneumatic slide hammer and here it is.

I needed to remove a bunch of pole barn tin about 20 years ago. Ended up using a modified cat's paw prybar with a short piece of round tubing welded to the back of the "head", perpendicular to the axis of the nails. worked well to pull nails with minimal damage to the sheet metal. I wish I had a...

Blue Point at big box stores

Menards had Snap-On licensed electric pressure washers in store about 8 years ago. Thread: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/who-makes-so-power-washers.327999/ It was quite possibly the worst tool I have ever purchased, but it was branded Snap-On. They also had SO branded LED lights...

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

Decided to try my hand at large ice molding for drinks this weekend. First, we need an object. I modeled a 401 Buick Nailhead piston in Solidworks and printed at half scale: That turned out, so I made a couple of centering fixtures. Hot glued the pieces together, inserted into a water...
