All,
Very, very helpful. I really appreciate the help. Again, it was advertised as a Kennedy. I told the seller it was not a Kennedy based on the feedback I got from Kennedy customer service (they were awesome by the way). He said he had initially listed it as a Snap-On but someone told...
Looking to buy this from a local CL advertisement. It was advertised as a Kennedy but it looked “off” so I emailed Kennedy customer support the photos and they stated that it was not one of theirs based on the photos.
It doesn’t look like any Snap-On chests (and they all seem to be red...
Jim,
Copy and thanks. I have decided to "hold what I have" so to speak with regards to the vise. It was a good looking vise though.
Thanks for the feedback regarding mounting though.

Dumper,
Thanks- All things that were going through my mind as I decided I didn't "need" a second large vise (that and the fact I didn't want to have to take is as a "carry-on" on the flit back).
That being said, and since I already kind of spent that money in my mind, I am eyeballing a nice 11...

Also- It is in fact one of those places that has absentee sellers. I asked and they said they could give 10% off. Problem is...
Newbie question again- Found a vintage 4” Parker vise in an antique store in RI. Asking price is $85- Looks to be in very good conditions
Is $85 a fair price? Please see photos.
Thanks in advance.

Now that I have "the bug" I was trying to find a smaller vise to put on a different workbench at home. In a perfect world I'd like to get my hands...
Live in San Diego and am in Newport, RI right now. Trying to take advantage of what I assume to be more antique tools out here. That logic has proven true for some hand planes and furniture in the past.
Davethorik,
Thanks- The two unmarked ones were the big and little one in the same picture (I should have been more specific).
Thanks for the advice- Learning a lot on this site.
