What did you do "IN" your garage today?

That’s right. I bought it many years ago from a former Peugeot Talbot dealership and this would have been hung outside. I was referring to the (poor) reflection from the sign of the Peugeot *0* in the background that could be guessed.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Converted an old (well, 1980s) dealership sign from tube to LED on a budget. £16 worth of single LED strip. I didn’t tend to light this up previously but now with its own remote control and various dimming functions etc, I’ll occasionally flip it on for some background lighting as I have a...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

The outlet hanging down on the right is being removed as part of this install as it was superseded by the outlet affixed above. Similar story with the loose wires to the left, they will run through the conduit when I get in the loft space and pull all the wiring. Use of spacers to bridge over...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Added a small sink beneath my pressure washer/hose reel today. It was my wife that instantly looked at it and said - “won’t you bang your head on the hose reel” I kinda knew that would be the compromise when putting it there centralised. The reel is between chest and head height so does...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Rehung a shelf after my Kranzle pressure washer fell 5 feet to the floor recently. When I installed it last week I'd noticed the vibrations moved the machine towards the edge so whilst waiting for some clips to secure it I thought I was being clever by clamping the machine to the shelf and...

    Deep drawer organisation ideas

I have a workbench/toolbox with 20 identical deep drawers. Each drawer is 5 1/2” deep. I’m struggling how to organise them as currently a number are being used for boxed items and tool carry cases that don’t make best use of the space, and/or are stacked on top of each other with items hidden...

    Show your new tool arrivals

I bought it via an auction house who get containers full of them come over to the UK. They drip feed them through most of their monthly auctions if you want their details. These are made for the Canadian market and retail there at $2,550.00 CAD which is approx £1,420. I paid around £800 with...

    Show your new tool arrivals

My new tool storage solution. Plenty of drawer space to try and reduce the amount of clutter in my garage and become more organised. Attracts finger prints though unfortunately.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Spacers/packers. The timber was several mm smaller than the height of the truss so I packed it out flush so that when I tightened the nuts it wouldn’t pull the mounting bracket up and deform the ceiling.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I hung a retractable hose reel from my ceiling. Figured the images from inside the loft space may be useful for anyone considering doing the same.

    Air compressor pipe bore size

Did the sums and a shade over 8l extra capacity within my anticipated run! Noted on the filters. I picked up this one on the left, complete with a couple of typos - so I’m not convinced on the quality. The blue filter on the right was removed with the pipe and is rated at a higher pressure and...

    Air compressor pipe bore size

Sounds promising, thanks. The run will likely be around 75 feet overall, including the drops.

    Air compressor pipe bore size

Hey all. I have acquired a selection of Parker Transair pipes and fittings from a factory rip out. Good quality and reasonably expensive by all accounts. The pipes are 25mm so have a 22mm ID, larger than I’d have otherwise chosen. My query before installation is whether that’s quite a large...

    Pinholes in concrete - epoxy

Thanks pOOp. I reckon when I was laying it down I saw an even coating filling over the holes and as it’s settled and dried the air has later exposed the holes as you suggest. I will write to the manufacturer and see which type of thinners they recommend works best with their epoxy, thanks...

    Pinholes in concrete - epoxy

I primed it with what was branded as a sealer. It was a solvent heavy and appeared to absorb in to the concrete well. They appear to be deeper than the epoxy is thick, if that makes sense so I believe they would have already been there rather than holes being created by released air. I used a...
