Talk me into or out of upgrading

I'd go for the upgrade on the standard wrenches first. Something polished that provides more leverage. These will also be shaped to provide more clearance on both ends of the wrench to better fit in tight spaces. If you haven't found a reason to upgrade some of what you already have, sometimes...

    Btu requirements?

You are probably looking for something more accurate but the general rule of thumb I hear people using for garages is 50 BTU/square foot.

    Question in thermostat

At first, as I was reading, I was thinking NO you can't use the thermostat located in your house for the heater in your garage LOL... but then realized what the question was. Yes, you can use your old house thermostat. Perfect use for it.

Reversible Ratcheting Wrenches vs. Typical Ratcheting Wrenches

I have a set of metric offset Craftsman reversible, standard flat (not offset) non-reversible Gear Wrench, and a set of flex non-reversible Gear Wrench. I like the Craftsman reversible the best out of the 3. They feel more comfortable and if you just used them to loosen something, you know you...

    Poor craftsman ratchets...

Wow that's awesome. Ahh, those are RP ratchets. Heard that term earlier and yeah I've had several of the quarter inch ones start spinning on me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What's in your tire/repair kit that you keep in your trunk

I just keep a full size spare under my truck and the OEM jack / wrench. If I have to fix a flat, I do it at home in the garage. I've stopped to use the compressor at the gas station if I have a tire going low and that holds til I get home. Those rope plugs work pretty decent and are easy to put...

1/2" Impact Sockets as my only set?

Yeah. I wouldn't get rid of perfectly good chrome sockets either unless I already had a set or 2 of better chrome sockets. They come in handy in tight places as already mentioned because of their generally thinner walls. I do probably grab impact sockets before chrome sockets by preference...

    Screwdrivers

Budget, warranty, and preference. Some of the cheap ones will break or round off. Some of the expensive ones will blow the budget that could have gone towards more tools lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Craftsman 1/4 Drive Ratchet Set Horrible

My older craftsman sockets have been pretty decent, both standard and impact sockets. Not tool truck quality but also not tool truck price. I haven't bought any of their newer sockets. It does seem that as manufacturing moves offshore, quality becomes an issue. The old quarter inch ratchets...

Need Advice for Cordless Impact Wrenches

I've been really happy with my Dewalt 3/8 cordless impact that I got about a year ago. Can't speak for their half inch impact but I would imagine it is a nice piece. I use the 3/8 mostly for working on our racing go karts and not so much for working on cars. The impact sees regular use and the...
