    Let's See Your Garage Dog

^^ Bandit looks like a real good friend. R1chy and Dan in Pasadena, your labs are awesome! Here is ours, Moya the black labrador. She is a very lovely dog. I don't think I could ask more from a dog. Baby Moya, 3 months old. Following an elbows operation, with the cone of shame...

    it's garage sale season!!

It looks like a shop project. It's very well made though. Not sure If it will be used soon, but it was too cool to be left in the junk pile, that's for sure. :D

    it's garage sale season!!

I got this mini arbor press at the flea market. Got it for 5$. It was badly rusted, so I dropped it for a couple of hours in the electrolysis bath. A bit of polishing and a layer or two of paint and it was ready to add to the collection.

    Let's see your toolbox.

Hahaha looks like we can be good friends. With a house, a car and a student loan to pay, I mostly buy my tools on sale. So me too, I just take the CT flyer on the saturday morning and put the other flyers in the trash can. Tomorrow I'm gonna get the low-profile 3 tons garage floor jack, 100$ off.

Compression - Show Off Your Compressor

Here is mine. I purchase it used for 20$! The seller said that the compressor didn't stop anymore on the high limit. So he bypassed the pressure switch and he plugged and unplugged it when he wanted to use it. It's a Campbell Hausfeld 30 gal, 5.5 cfm @ 90 psi with a 2hp magnatek motor. Not...

    Let's see your toolbox.

Thanks! Yeah it takes time to build a nice collection of tools. I'm 27 now and I started to buy tools since 8-9 years now. In fact this toolbox is my second one. Here is my first toolbox, look at this magnificence. I have to say, I prefer my new one! I like to purchase used...

    Let's see your toolbox.

I have to say, most of you guys have impressive toolbox! I don't do mechanics for a living, it's a hobby for me. I still can not afford to pay the higher quality right now, and well I'm under 30, so I don't collect tools since decades. Anyway I guess we have to start somewhere. I first bought...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

After the restoration, I painted the vise with the blue coro-stop paint. I let it dry completely. I lightly sanded the top of the letter and painted it with a small paintbrush. The one I used younger to make my car model. Simple has that. Hope it will help.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Thanks guys. I'm glad to hear that my record seems to be a quality product. So far it has been very useful for my weekend use. God this No8 vise looks so massive! I would probably have to make a new bench if I want to bolt one like this on it. lol

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Hi guys, pretty new here. Here is my No. 4 Record vise. I'm not really familiar with vise's brands. From what I found, it looks to be a decent piece of equipment. I received it from my father and I restored It the best I could. For now, it works well, no play and feels solid. Maybe you guys...

    New guy from Canada

Thanks! Yeah I would love to have a 510! I found one two winters ago, but it was so much deteriorated for me, since I didn't had my garage yet. Right now I'm finishing my '87 nissan pulsar project. When this one will be finished, I wish I could find a nice Porsche 964 or maybe a 930! I...

    New guy from Canada

Hi guys, I'm registred here since late 2011, and lurking all these awesome projects. Probably like most of you, I like cars and mechanic as far as I can remember. As a 90's kid I owned and modified some japanese car, in fact I pretty much like any Datsun / Nissan car from the early 70's to the...
