Just for fun, if you are of a certain age- do you still have any of your first tools?

It's amazing how time flies! I think I might post a few pics of my old tools and hope others might do the same. Remember, your first tools!

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

Why do you post photobucket pics? Can't really see past the advertising.

Snap On KR-557D / KR-537D Fair Market Value

I have that stack (537, 557 no 547 available then), I bought the new in 1974. Can the old sliders be replaced with roller ones?

I have moved. I have left the People's Republic of Kalifornia and moved to Oklahoma, north east corner. Still same email though.

Yatg, years later ... yes the Camp Fire forced us to evacuate. Did not lose the house but was in a hotel for 3 months. Where I live now water could be an issue but not fire (northeastern Oklahoma).

Anyone Have Info On Globemaster Tools?

Thanks so much for responding to my post of years ago. The blue of your metal box seems much nicer than the kind of dull gray of mine, but I am a little color blind so maybe there is some pretty blue under the grime and rust of my box. As for missing stuff, from time to time I get a bee in my...

WW2 or post war tool coating.

Could this be a wartime coating of some kind? The ends are polished and the color is a really dark brownish green. It is not rust, it is too even and there is no pitting. This wrench is actually prewar, most likely mid to late 1930s, according to Alloy Artifacts data, so it might be military...

    J. H. Williams duohex-box wrenches and later (till 1954) double box end wrenches.

I am a bit of a collector of J.H. Williams DUOHEX-BOX wrenches and their successors until about 1954. If you have any you don't need or want I am interested in buying them if they are numbers I don't have (and there are a lot of those!). Thanks, DJ

I have been away for a couple of years and forgotten the ins and outs of posting. This message is just to let everyone know that I no longer live in the PRC but now live in Miami, Oklahoma! Been here about 9 months.

MAC tools Sabina Ohio 6 point flex head metric wrenches 15, & 16 mm sizes.

I have some early MAC 6 point flex head wrenches and would like to fill in the set. I need a 15 mm and 16 mm. These have Sabind Ohio stamped on them. They are combo, of course, with open ends at one end. Also, does anyone know if they were made in sizes smaller than 10 mm hex? Bigger than...

    I acquired my grandfather's Snap-On toolbox.

Have you asked a local Snap On dealer?
