Thanks Asadp. I had saw that online. I just thought that the number as associated with the ratchet head not the body.

I found this ratchet at the scrap yard today. They only charged me 5 dollars for it because the said it was bent. Well it is bent but it does not look like it was bent due to metal failure. It looks like it was made this way. The head says Proto 5649. I haven't been able to find any information...
