Best advise is to get the utility to disconnect the incoming power and verify zero energy state. It is not worth the risks. Bring in a genset if you need to supply critical loads in the house.
I'm glad I'm not the only one doing this...My friends always give me a funny stare when I go to grab the "bug" spray and come back with the propane torch. Quick and effective.
Thats probably where they cut the slab into segments with a concrete saw. At least thats how my drive way looked until it rained.
