Nice sets, and a good deal smaller (in all dimensions) than the Harbor Freight Icon locking flex head bit set (https://www.harborfreight.com/locking-flex-head-ratchet-and-bit-set-35-piece-58074.html). The HF has the better ratchet (longer, easier thumb wheel, longer extension, ability to use...

Does Dewalt make a version that comes with helical head? I know there are aftermarket options, but don't see anything on their site: https://www.dewalt.com/en-us/products/power-tools/woodworking-tools/planers My understanding is that the difference between 735 and 735X is the latter comes with...

Would you be able to share the number you called? Went back and forth on this with no luck (although everyone I spoke with was also very nice)

Was reading this and thought “most of this makes sense, but who needs two table saws?” and then I remembered I own two table saws

Redundant comment on GJ (especially in Hot Deals), but thanks for the details on this! I may actually hold off for once.

I'm not sure if this is company-wide, by my local HF had 30% off today only on the open box section. I've never had much luck with the open box items previously, but they had one of these with packaging damage (but what looks like factory tape) for $409.49 - came out to $286.64 after the discount:

In my opinion, yes. I wanted it for the longer bits which I rarely need, but have a better chance of twisting/breaking. No issues so far, but if I ever break one, easy to get replaced at a local HF. I like that the metric/SAE are color coded, and the case is a pretty good design without much...

Not the best lighting, but hopefully these help. On this set the 15mm is matte. 12 and 13 are polished. 14 somewhere in between but closer to polished. 16 and 17 are matte at the base and polished above: On these hex sockets, all are matte but 7/32 is polished (note the hex bits are black...

I don't have the ball end sets, but so far as I can tell my regular sets are Snap-on equivalent. They are marked USA and have what appear to be Snap-on date codes. I will say that I've noticed the finishing is inconsistent within my sets - not necessarily better or worse, but from socket to...

Thanks! Yes, appears to be a match. New brands to me; how is the quality? I can't find a match to the exact product in either catalog; interesting that CAT is maybe having them produce a custom item when I can't imagine their volume is that high.

FYI that if you want everything in the 213-4443 kit and both metric and SAE, it's cheaper to buy 213-4443. Metal box ~$26 The two added adapters and driver handle are all ~$12-13 each (x3) Metric socket set alone is ~$66; you can piece together the SAE set for ~$30. So it's about $27-28...
