Depending on your location and who you might (or might not) know it isn't always easy to find a used lift at which point the price might not be what someone else would pay. any working rack is better than no rack. a rocker panel scissor lift usually brings at least 500 bucks from what i've seen...

i know this is an old thread, but i have a very similar box as your "tractor" box. it definitely looks home made but fairly professional at the same time. i was thinking it might have been a project from an apprentice tin knocker. yours is the only other one i have seen.
